MISSION STATEMENT
Max Music Publishing is a forward thinking, fresh new music publisher looking to work with 2020’s most exciting and dynamic new artists.
MMP is a highly artist friendly label, established by an artist with 20 years music publishing experience. As a writer and a publisher.
We have an enviable track record of 100s of international syncs. A global network of music supervisors, sync agents and contacts.
And with an outstanding backend service partnership with industry accounting experts, we carefully and dutifully collect and chase royalties, producing detailed statements and brilliant administration of your catalogue for neighbouring rights.
As an artist, we understand that you ultimately just want as many avenues for your music to be heard by as big an audience as possible. We will help with that.
As songwriters ourselves, we know what songwriters and artists beginning their journey want from a publishing deal: Excellent royalty rates. Quick payment of royalties and sync fees. No long-term contracts. We provide that.
We also understand from our own experience that being a writer or artist signed to a big publishing company with over 100,000 artists means you are often neglected, or worse completely forgotton. Max Music Publishing is a boutique publisher with just a small number of artists carefully scouted and A&R’d where every artist gets our maximum attention.
We are looking to build a diverse, progressive multi genre publishing catalogue that completely represents new music in 2020.

AARON UNKNOWN

ALICE KÜBE
Alice's music so far has had support from BBC Introducing, Radio1Xtra, 6Music and CapitalXtra. She also has a brand deal with the major online retailer 'I Saw It First'.
Alice is an emerging artist to keep your eye on. Latest single 'Love On You' out now.

BULL
In recent months Bull have announced their signing to EMI Records in conjunction with Young Thugs, and have been gaining serious momentum - including strong support at Radio from the likes of Steve Lamacq (6 Music), Huw Stephens (BBC Radio 1), Clara Amfo (sitting in for Annie Mac at Radio 1) and Chris Hawkins (6 Music).
With more new music set for 2021 and (hopefully) a return to the live scene in the not too distant future, Bull are setting themselves up to be one of the hottest Indie bands out there.

BENIN CITY
Benin City are often described as ‘genre-defying’, ‘a fusion of sounds’, and ‘unmistakenly London’. The make-up of the band reflects this as well, as does the abundant diversity of London itself: races, nationalities, sexualities and genders. In these political times the idea of identity has been pushed to the fore. The band’s third album campaign, beginning with the release of the What A Time EP this winter via Moshi Moshi, is their chance to celebrate their differences and interrogate the problems and challenges within us and our society, conveyed with a strict adherence to Dance-Pop.
Winning rave reviews across UK press and radio, the band have been exciting crowds across the country and Europe this past 18 months, notably touring with Portugal. The Man, and appearing at Latitude, The Great Escape, All Points East, SXSW, and Iceland Airwaves festivals amongst others.

BIG SPRING
Upon hearing the song, Radio 1 Rock Show host Daniel P Carter made it his ‘Rockest Record’ and labelled the band as ‘the best new band in Britain.’
At this point Big Spring hadn’t played a live show, so they spent the first half of 2016 working on their live performance and writing more material. They then recruited guitarist Jack Rowan, completing the line up as a four piece.
After releasing their second single ‘On a Bamboo Sleeping Mat’, the band were invited to play at Reading & Leeds festival for only their fifth and sixth ever live performances.
This was followed by tours with Black Foxxes, Decade, The Xcerts and Turbowolf alongside various single releases.
The band announced at the start of 2018 that they were recording their debut EP which would be released mid 2018.

BRIEANNA GRACE
Brieanna’s work in live music and corporate events found her performing on the main stage of Heart of Rock Festival, the City Of Houston’s NYE, MGM Grande Casinos, and the Alamodome in front of over 80 thousand people. Playing along side artists such as Alice Cooper, ZZtop, DJ Avelon, Trigger Proof and more.
Soon after, her debut album release “Good Machine” Grace was coined as KTSW radio described, a Pop Sensibility artist.
In a world of Bubble Gum artists, Brieanna explores pop using the darker side of modern life as her biggest inspiration and influence on her lyric content. “We all go through difficult times, heartbreak and mistakes. Someone needs to sing about them in a way that their listeners know that they’re not alone, and that we will get through it together.”

CHARLOTTE DEVANEY
It is undoubtedly for DJing that Devaney is best known. She was initially obsessed with hardcore, jungle and drum & bass, & was taught to DJ by some of Britain’s most iconic DJs, inc Fabio and Randall.
Devaney’s DJ career has flourished since she made her club debut in 2009, notching up headline sets in such far-flung places such as Croatia, Qatar, Thailand, Turkey, India, Italy, Bali and Barbados. Her success is due to her innate ability to read a crowd and rock a party with an eclectic, bass-heavy mixture of music. As well as possessing tight technical skills & inspired track selection, Devaney is also renowned for delivering lively and passionate performances where she takes to the mic to host & spit rhymes.
Devaney has collaborated with an impressive list of artists, including Rich The Kid , Riff Raff, Lil Debbie , LadyLeshurr , Bali Baby , Ms Banks , Fatman Scoop , Ragga Twins, Tanya Lacey, MC Neat, and the legendary Snoop Dogg. Her cut with the latter, 2016’s “Flip It”, became a crossover smash worldwide, eventually being awarded Platinum status by ARIA.

CHRIS KABS
Chris felt in love with music at the very young age of 5. His first instrument was the drums and later on fascinated with piano later on he found his own way in music naturally, teaching himself through sound.
Chris trained his vocals whilst using his instinct to guide him, and finding his interests in music production.
This start in life allowed him to express his poetic styles and freely express himself artistically whilst giving him the freedom to produce his own style through what he felt.
As he matured, so did his music, Chris explored music as not just beats and rhyme but as a form of art.
Chris is a visionary, ambitious and gifted.
Through his personal life and professional life, music has created him and made him who he is. The dedication and passion for his sound has driven him to create some amazing pieces of work.
Time, creativity and his fearless imagination for individual sound has allowed both his vocal and production style to develop with it to create such unique and beautiful music.

DRIVE!DRIVE!
Alex searched for members that wanted to play music for the love of it. Being in Nashville, a city chock-full of professional musicians, it was incredibly difficult. After a year of searching, he finally found Gavin Hurlburt and Philip DeLuca. After their first practice, they knew it was meant to be something bigger than themselves.
Before even releasing a song, they started developing a cult following with their personal engagement on social media, and the release of their debut EP paved the way for the pop trio to tour the U.S. from NYC to CA.
With heavy pop hooks, clean guitar riffs and retro synths that get people dancing at every show, Drive!Drive are a force to be reckoned with.

DYLAN BERNARD
New single ‘Forever For Now’ has achieved rapid success and has over 150,000 Spotify streams within weeks of the video release. Dylan Bernard was bit by the music bug at an early age. When his mother placed him in a church choir at the age of four, he instantly fell in love. Sadly, he lost his mother a few years later and the musical spirit she instilled in him went dormant.

DUTCH CRIMINAL RECORD
DCR have been championed by Tom Robinson of BBC 6, Its All Indie, Amazing Radio, and Radio X.
They have just set off on their current UK headline tour, selling out Bristol Rough Trade on the first night. The past year has also seen them support names such as Sea Girls, Ra Ra Riot and Spinn.
DCR have also received recognition from Spotify Official playlists such as Fresh Finds, Six Strings, Hot New Bands, and Happy Stroll. This has helped them gain a worldwide audience and they even managed to climb into the US Viral Top 50.

ED SCISSOR
The LP settles on the notion that all human beings are on the hunt for the same thing.
A key player in the UK rap renaissance, renowned live performer, wordsmith and storyteller, Scissor’s artistic evolution correlates strongly with the work of Glasgow- based producer Lamplighter. As a duo, they have developed into key players in the alt-rap soundscape ever since their debut ‘Better.Luck.Next.Life’ dropped to critical acclaim back in 2012.
Fast forward six years and their nu-classical compositions are wiser and more profound than ever before. The camaraderie grows more expansive and ear-opening with every song; striking nods to love songs from the 60’s, 80’s power ballads, the seedy end of the 90’s R’n’B spectrum, to psych-indie anthems, rave anthems, electronica and drone, but moreover, countless nods to moving image, spoken word, soundtracks and scores; the music is rich, expansive and rewarding at every turn.
Scissortongue creates music that extends beyond the realms of reality into a strange, dreamlike, left field. It feels like an alternate reality in his head, fuelled by a heady mix of fantasy and reality, umbrella’d under a now customary gothic shroud.

GEORGE ROSE

GRIM SICKERS
Since then, he’s worked tirelessly to establish himself as one of grime’s most unconventional and distinctive voices, appearing on tracks and sets with other up and coming MCs as well as going bar-for-bar with grime legends such as Ghetts, Jammer and Discarda.
Making the transition from pirate radio regular to stageshow don, Grim Sickers quickly became known for his electrifying live performances, lighting up stages across the country with his inimitable energy and enthusiasm.
Grim Sickers has also carved out a reputation for writing memorable hooks and rhyme sequences, peppered with pop culture references, a dark sense of humour and incredible detail. His biggest success so far has been “Kane”, the Swifta-Beater-produced single released on the label of Birmingham creative Despa Robinson and legendary The Streets frontman Mike Skinner. The track went on to be featured as KISS FM’s Track of the Week, as well as being spun heavily on Radio 1Xtra and more.
Whether it’s on air at 1Xtra, Rinse FM or Radar Radio, onstage at festivals, raves in the UK or as far-flung as the Czech Republic, you can expect to see plenty of Grim Sickers in the future, dressed head-to-toe in black with a mic in his hand, delivering bar after bar with the swagger and presence of a WWE superstar cutting the promo of his life.

GORRAN
“I just want people to feel something,” he says. “Whether it’s deep pain or sheer bliss, it’s just so important to me that there is an experience being had. I really don’t like the idea of my music being confined to a particular genre - it’s not about that. It’s about the purpose and the impact of each individual song.”
During his time at the BRIT School in London (alumni including Adele, Amy Winehouse and Rex Orange County), Gorran would write songs on train journeys to and from college. It was here that he developed his love for songwriting and established his sound.
He presents an energetic and impactful live show which has this year graced stages across the UK, including the iconic Roundhouse in London.
Having already amassed over 450,000 streams with his debut releases in late 2019, and with support from publications such as The Line of Best Fit, EARMILK and Apeiron, it’s clear that Gorran has the potential to break through as one of the UK’s next biggest artists.

GOLDENBLOOM
Formed in May 2019, goldenbloom is made up of the howling vocals of Jordan Walker strung out over the wailing guitar of Will Young and hard hitting drums of Justas Pugaciauskas. After a packed self promoted debut show in October, goldenbloom are ready to hit the ground running with their punchy tracks and energetic live shows.
Following on from their debut release LOVE and the addition of bassist Johnny Brock, goldenbloom are crafting quite the arsenal of high-caliber tracks in a very short tim

GENTLEMENS CLUB
The Gentlemens Club sound pushes the limits of bass music: On any given track, they can flex wobbly dubstep drops, hard-edged subs and electrified rhythms atop intricate melodies and sophisticated sound design. It’s a boundary-breaking approach that has solidified the all-around bass act as one of the fiercest breakout newcomers in dance music of this decade. In five short years, the trio has secured a number of accolades, including: chart-topping original releases and remixes with the leading labels in dance music, including Big Beat (Atlantic), Bassrush (Insomniac), Deadbeats, RAM Records and Never Say Die; collaborations with electronic heavy hitters like Borgore and Kayzo; international radio support from BBC Radio 1, Triple J and Rinse FM; and a monthly radio show on Dash FM/Insomniac Radio, which airs the first Thursday of each month.
As a live act, Gentlemens Club are an unstoppable force. Their frenetic shows explore the wider bass spectrum, jumping from dubstep and bass house to drum & bass and trap without regard to genre confines. They’ve already dropped unforgettable live sets at leading festivals around the world, including EDC Las Vegas (three consecutive years), îleSoniq in Canada and Rampage in Belgium, the world’s biggest dubstep and drum & bass event. As a headlining and support act, they have toured across 14 countries throughout North America, South America, Europe, Australia and Asia. As well, they have sold out multiple international venues, including Metro City in Perth, Australia, the biggest nightclub on the southern hemisphere, and the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles. Most recently, in 2019, Gentlemens Club supported dubstep pioneer 12th Planet on his Swamplex North American tour; joined Hidden, a nationwide Australian tour, alongside Lil Yachty, TroyBoi and others; and launched their debut headline tour of China.
With fresh releases currently brewing, Gentlemens Club will continue to drive bass culture to new horizons and will explore a bolder approach to electronic music. Stay tuned for their highly anticipated new music.

HOAX

HOLY ‘57
London producer-songwriter Holy ’57 emerged in the summer of 2015 with the laid-back groove of Island Kids, produced in collaboration with former Broken Social Scene member Dave Newfeld. The song, which broke into the Hype Machine charts, paved the way for his first EP, H, released in October 2015. This was to be the first of four EP’s (H, O, L and Y) introducing the Holy ’57 repertoire. 2016 saw the release of O, and L arrived in the autumn of 2017. Lead single Water // Chrome was released in July, followed by Canary in September.

HAYES & Y
Having moved to the UK just a couple of years ago, the four-piece have assimilated quickly, becoming a part of their new country’s scene and taking shows at some of the Britain’s best-loved venues in their stride, including the likes of London’s Dublin Castle, and Manchester’s iconic Night & Day Cafe, as well as a notable slot on the Spirit of Burgas festival in Bulgaria supporting Kasabian. Their 2017 single “Always So Simple, Always So Cold” received strong support from BBC Introducing in Manchester and reached 13th spot in Spotify Top 50 UK Viral chart. In the autumn of 2018, Clash Magazine praised the band’s single “BLUE” calling it “an immediate, addictive track that also manages to retain its subtlety, a moody dancefloor burner with a killer chorus”. The band's 2019 single "safeplace." was featured on Spotify's "Fresh Finds" playlist and is followed by their latest track "Disaster".
Taking their cues from ‘80s electronica as much as they do from contemporary indie, Hayes & Y has successfully crafted an aesthetic that feels both timely and timeless.

MAX RAD
Brought up in the rural setting of Stroud in Gloucestershire, Max began writing and recording songs aged 6. Moving to London in 2018 and working out of anywhere he could find to set up, Max began producing, co-writing and mixing for other artists, including UK Dance music royalty Faithless, as well as Nathan Ball, Icarus, Laura Welsh, Havelock and Elle Yaya. When writing music for his own project however, Max sought out the peace that he was used to from his childhood, often disappearing down to the coast of Devon allowing for less distractions and therefore reaching much deeper places emotionally. With a love of electronic music, mixed with a passion for words and melody, this combination of melancholy lyricism and upbeat production is what separates Max from the crowd.
Now Max is living in Cornwall, with COVID-19 disrupting what would have been a busy year of live shows, he has escaped the city and is concentrating on producing new material and working remotely on various other projects, with new releases in the works for 2021.

MARSICANS
A relentlessly independent ethos, distinctive harmony-laden sound and raucous live shows have earned Marsicans a devoted fanbase with sold-out tour dates up and down the UK, including their first 1,000-capacity headline show in 2019; headlining BBC Introducing stages at Reading and Leeds festivals; supporting Foals in Hamburg, opening for the Kaiser Chiefs at Elland Road stadium, touring the UK with We Are Scientists; a string of ten consecutive singles supported by UK national radio, BBC Radio 1 and Radio X, all of them gracing New Music Friday UK and other Spotify/Apple Music/Deezer/Amazon editorial playlists; filmed live sessions for VEVO DSCVR and at the BBC's legendary Maida Vale studios; tracks featured on BBC TV's Jools Holland, Match Of The Day, MTV, BT Sport and the opening credits of Made In Chelsea; a Samsung Galaxy worldwide ad sync; and a surprise UK 7" vinyl chart #1 for 2019 single 'Your Eyes'.
Marsicans were due to headline the British Music Embassy for the BBC at South x Southwest 2020 before COVID 19 forced the event's cancellation.
Marsicans are
James Newbigging - vocals and guitar

MYSTRY
A pivotal moment for Mystry was his track ‘Pulse 8’ getting it's first play at the Red Bull Culture Clash courtesy of Boy Better Know, during the infamous moment where Skepta was joined on stage by Stormzy. Since then, Mystry’s music has gone on to receive heavy support from Huw Stephens, Annie Nightingale, Mistajam, Sian Anderson, Logan Sama, DJ EZ, Sir Spyro, Toddla T, Maximum and many more.
‘Pulse 8’ was premiered ahead of it's release on i-D Magazine's Soundcloud, and further success came when it was voiced by JME for the opening track on his latest album ‘Integrity’, which reached number 12 in the UK album charts. The instrumental was used again by Jammer with an all star grime lineup for ‘Royal Rumble’, the lead single on the latest Lord of the Mics compilation; and another Top 20 album position.
Mystry then struck again with Boy Better Know on the Skepta lead track 'Athlete', with a feature video from Matt Walker. On top of this, he has been making music & collaborating with various companies such as Wagamama's, Nike, LOTM and Nandos, and has produced music for artists such as Ocean Wisdom, Durrty Goodz & Foreign Beggars to name a few - meaning he is more than just a Grime producer as some would assume.
Just as at home behind decks as he is in the studio, Mystry has already made his Boiler Room debut and played Fabric Room 1 at their 16th Birthday weekend, their rooftop with Big Narstie & Izzie Gibbs, Reading & Leeds Festival, House Of Vans, Lovebox, Bestival and Parklife.
2019 saw the continual rise of Mystry as he was selected as one of '22 most influential young stars of the future of Birmingham' and placed on an amazing permanent mural in Digbeth. He ended the year being responsible for producing 'Lowrider' ft. Ocean Wisdom & Ghetts which was placed on 'NBA 2K21'. 2020 rounded off with Mystry producing the Pepsi Max Christmas advert, and 2021 awaits eagerly for his anticipated collaborative album.

NIA WYN
Nia’s music has gathered plays from BBC Introducing, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2’s Blues Playlist and Reprezent Radio, been featured by Fred Perry Subculture, CLASH and EARMILK, as well as playlisted on Spotify’s ‘Jazz UK’ and 'Sweet Sunday Soul'. Tipped by Huw Stephens as one of BBC Introducing's 'ones to watch' in 2019 after opening for Paul Weller and Paloma Faith, Nia has had 3 tracks make the BBC Introducing Hotlist. Off the back of releasing her debut EP 'Love I Can't Ruin', she will be joining Paul Weller on his sold out UK tour in March 2021.

PRESIDENT T
With his singular flow, deep-bodied tone, and gripping narratives, the rapper found equal success in solo and collaborative work: in addition to being a key member of both Meridian and Bloodline, T's solo efforts included the classic mixtape 'Back Inna My Face' (2008) as well as a collection of well-received albums throughout the 2010s.
While his many projects from over the years saw Prez experiment with production aspects from trap, modern hip-hop and even drill, his authoritative tone, unique flow, and compelling tales still remain firmly at the forefront of his work to this day.

ROWE
After playing The Big Top Stage at Camp Bestival in 2017, Rowe moved to London to explore and learn new ways of expressing her music. Following the release of her debut EP 'Neptune' in 2018, which consists of four melancholic acoustic tracks that treasure her folk roots, she has played a number of venues across London, Bristol and Bath, including The Sebright Arms and The Waiting Room.
Rowe has also caught the attention of BBC Introducing multiple times after her song 'Darker Nights' was played on BBC Introducing in the West in 2017, as well as her debut single 'Daze' from her upcoming second EP, earlier this year.
Inspired by artists such as Bon Iver, Daughter, FKA Twigs and Grouper, Rowe is currently building visions for her second EP, forming ambient waves that float around her haunting vocals and crashing electronics.

SACRE
« Summer banger », « simply a breath of fresh air » « a triumph of minimalistic electronic pop » is how great names like Pharrell williams, The Line Of Bestfit, Billboard Magazine or Clash Magazine describe their music.
After having released between 2017 & 2018 a five track EP and a seven-tracks remixes EP, they are now working on a new album that will be released track by track every first friday of the month, starting on january 2019. This project reunites music, photography and storytelling. 12 characters. 12 hours. A Love Revolution.

STRAY GHOST
During a highly prolific decade of music making in which every album seemed to top the last, Anthony has released albums on a variety of labels, self-released several ambitious projects and featured on compilations alongside artists such as Peter Broderick and Nils Frahm.
At the age of 31 his discography stands at an already impressive 12 full length albums, and numerous other releases.
Despite having no formal or classical training and coming from an underprivileged background, Anthony creates elegant soundscapes hovering on the border between classical and experimental and capable of affecting an immediate emotional connection with the listener on an incredibly deep level. From the earlier ambient minimalism of Nothing But Death, through the contemporary pastoral sound of Those Who Know Darkness, See The Light and the two hour long So Much To Remember, So Much To Forget up to his recent masterpiece A Shade Under Thirty, Anthony is a restless spirit, his music evolving in texture and scope, exploring global and social issues with a personal, intimate resonance which is truly, truly unique.
One of the leading young voices of serious and challenging modern British music; he is someone who takes his work very seriously and who also takes a very active approach to forming a dialogue with the anguishes of the society around him; both in his music and otherwise.

THE MILLENIAL CLUB
Underneath their pop exterior is a band displaying youthful exuberance through catchy hooks and tender ballads. The band’s songwriting focuses on emotive, experience fuelled lyricism dealing with the uncertainty of love, broken promises, and the beauty found in small, intimate moments often overlooked in today’s age. To date, the band has opened for Conan Gray, Charlotte Lawrence, Hippie Sabotage, Katelyn Tarver, MOONZz, and Quinn XCII.

TOOTAWL
Standing at six foot five, he was christened ‘too tawl’ in typical Tennessee twang. The name stuck like glue and upon his arrival home with this new title he began working on material for his debut EP. Mainly taking inspiration from artists like Bob Dylan, The Beatles and also older blues musicians such as Blind Willie McTell, Tootawl mixes this strong sense of musical tradition with his own unique folk style.
Since his time in Tennessee, Tootawl has supported Aslan in their sold out gig in Cork Opera House and Ham Sandwich at the Bandon Music Festival, and supported Bagatelle on their farewell tour to name a few. Tootawl recorded his debut EP with producer Christian Best (Mick Flannery, Jack O' Rourke) at Monique Studios which received widespread national radio airplay, and toured extensively (London, Berlin, San Francisco & LA). He also had the title track of his EP played in an episode of the Netflix original series 'You Me Her'.
Tootawl has just released his next EP, Twist Of Paranoia, which has already received national radio airplay in Ireland.

T.NALE
The 24 year old hip hop, pop and R&B vocal artist dropped a 13 track album titled ‘CareFul’ last year.
Trademarked with no features, one song stands out above the rest, ‘Attention’ is considerably one of his best works to date.
The upcoming single is a distinct look at the artist’s maturity and understanding of the everyday struggles within relationships as the single outlines the risks one has to take within their relationships in order to reach common ground. The single speaks to how important attention is in relationships and how, T. Nale’s in particular, is difficult to get and keep.
The musician says this single and album have unlocked a new level in his musicality. “Throughout my career, I have never felt more connected with my fans and my music. I truly believe in my work and can’t wait to give much more music to you,” he says.

THE COVASETTES
The Covasettes are an indie-rock four-piece, from Manchester, made up of frontman Chris Buxton, lead guitarist Matt Hewlett, bassist Jamie McIntyre and drummer Matt Buckley.
They burst onto the scene in late 2017 with the release of their debut single, ‘This Feeling,’ which combines Buxton’s infectious vocals and lyrics with Hewlett’s world-ending riffs and the driving rhythm of McIntyre and Buckley.
In 2018 the boys released three more singles, 'Wondering Why', 'Top Drawer' and 'Wild'. Those releases proved that The Covasettes are ones to watch in the future, and helped them achieve a place on Spotify's 'Indie List' and 'Summer Indie' playlists, gaining over 200,000 streams in just a couple of months. Furthermore, 2018 saw The Covasettes play sold out shows in their hometown of Manchester as well as Derby, London and Leeds.
The quartet performed at Leeds Direct Arena for the Radio Academy after being crowned 'most exciting band' for 2018. Other notable performances include a sold out show at Leeds Stylus supporting The Sherlocks on their tour.
In early 2019 the boys played their first headline tour and released their fifth official single 'Like You'. This time round they have stepped it up a notch with their debut EP 'It's Always Sunny Above the Clouds,' which boasts four upbeat summer anthems.

VON MARLON
Forming his alias in June 2017 after a life change that birthed his new solo project; a separate personal and musical split in quick succession.
Having two grandparents who were music school teachers, Axel grew up listening to a range of tastes ranging from classical & rock to soul/jazz/world. Secondary school led to his hobbies revolving primarily around music: playing in bands since 12, learning computer software such as Cubase to getting his first set of decks at 16.
Whilst studying the BMus course at Kingston University, promoting for local club nights took up spare time when not in the studio.
Now based in Peckham, within just 6 months Von Marlon has run live & DJ nights at local venues such as The Montague Arms, Peckham Pelican, The Prince Of Peckham and The Nines as well as playing more well established London venues such as Club 229 and The Water Rats.
Having spent the last 18 months between Germany and England, his musical influences are moulded by both capital Cities. The name ‘Von Marlon’ derives from a Mike Skinner lyric - a nod toward growing up with UK urban and dance artists like The Streets, Wiley, Radiohead and Massive Attack to successful local contemporaries such as The XX, Mount Kimbie, James Blake and Sampha. This, partnered with his more recent discovery of Berlins electronic underground scene (e.g. Laing, Max Graef, DVS1 and Rin) helped mould the ideas for his first self-produced record.
Recent live and studio collaborations include artists such as Radio 1’s hotly tipped house duo Catchment (MTA Records), Albert Gold (Fierce Panda Records) and Jack Hawitt (Fine Management).

YIZZY

ZAK JOSHUA
Back in 2014, his cult dance hit, ‘Figure It Out’ (his first solo release) was debuted on the 'Selected' youtube channel. In the years since, this has gone on to receive over 4 million views. The success of this early foray into music spurred him to pursue a career in the industry, enrolling at the Academy Of Contemporary Music in Guildford. After returning to his hometown of Leicester following this degree, he began to experiment in other styles, particularly R&B and Hip Hop, working with some of the best artists in the city and the East Midlands region, and gaining a reputation as one of the go-to engineers for local vocalists/rappers. In 2019, a full 5 years after its original release, 'Selected' reached out to Zak to give 'Figure It Out' the full release that it deserved. This reinvigorated Zak's desire to work in the dance music scene, and he is now well on the way to being a major player in the genre, with a whole host of releases planned for this year and further beyond.
Within the dance music sphere, Zak's releases vary in style quite dramatically, from straight forward, mainstream floorfillers like 'I Don't Wanna Wait', to nostalgic lo-fi jams like 'Let The Light In', to underground melodic techno rollers, like the forthcoming 'Signora'.
Zak Joshua is also a well regarded DJ; since the early 2010's he has become a regular resident at some of the UK's most frequented high-street chains, specialising in both contemporary R&B/ Hip-Hop and Dance.
